CSK in IPL 2008: Brief overview
In the first IPL, Chennai Super Kings played their first match against Kings XI Punjab on 19th April 2008.
The team also played the final match of this IPL but lost to Rajasthan Royals and stood second on the leaderboard.
CSK in IPL 2009
CSK signed England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff this season after missing out on the championship last year. But he could contribute only in three matches. After this, he had to be ruled out of the league due to a knee injury.
